“TakeaMIDI” is a versatile MIDI monitoring tool that functions as both a MIDI filter and a live sampler, offering users the capability to efficiently capture recent MIDI data in the form of a MIDI file.

The application features a MIDI buffer that retains up to 10 seconds, 1 minute, or 10 minutes of incoming MIDI input. Users can easily pause or clear the recording using designated buttons, providing precise control over their data capture.

Exporting the contents of the buffer is facilitated by a straightforward drag-and-drop mechanism associated with the “file” icon located in the lower left corner of the application window.

An integrated log window presents data within the selected time range, enhancing usability and offering a clear overview of MIDI activities.

Additionally, this application serves effectively as a MIDI filter, accommodating Channel, System Common, Realtime, and System Exclusive messages for viewing and filtering options.

TakeaMIDI is available both as a standalone application and in an AUv3 format.
